Overview:

Join senior experienced yoga teacher, Alexandra Rodrigues, for a therapeutic immersion in restorative yoga, renewing one’s capacity for relaxation and cultivating a strong sense of abiding inner calm. Learning to relax is at the heart of living well. This deeply renewing practice brings you directly in touch with the essence of your being, an internal resource that is always readily available to guide and support you.

We are delighted to offer this Restorative Yoga training as a comprehensive 50-hour advanced yoga teacher training, or as an immersive experience for enthusiastic students wishing to take responsibility for their own healing journey. No previous experience is required. Most importantly students should have an open attitude, a willingness to learn, and a deep desire to self-heal and/or empower others to do so.

Course Curriculum:

During this course you will learn:
• The foundational restorative yoga postures, cautions, modifications, and benefits for each asana
• The Koshic Model from Taittiriya Upanishads that will deepen your understanding of the restorative yoga effect.
• How restorative yoga alleviates the effects of stress - the most prominent, underlying issue in most ailments.
• The innate intelligence of the central nervous system, vagal tone, and the triune brain
• Conscious breath inquiries and meditation practices to support self-regulation on a mental, physiological, emotional, and energetic level.
• Emotions & intuition inquiry within a restorative yoga session
• Healing and conscientious touch to provide comfort, support, nurturing acceptance, and connection.


Qualification & Acreditation:

Certified yoga teachers may earn 50 continuing education contact training hours accredited by Yoga Alliance International Registry. Non-teachers will be awarded a certificate of attendance and competency.

Alexandra has been weaving her way through the yoga community in Vancouver and Brisbane since 2008. She feels yoga is very much a self-healing practice and believes that for thousands of years yoga has offered the tools and guidance to cultivate a healthy state of being and the know how to transform thyself.

Alexandra’s nurturing classes help students establish an equanimous, calm abiding centre to support an intuitive awareness to filter through “the time on your mat” and into your relationships, your work, and creativity.
Alexandra is an eternal student of energetic healing modalities with a special interest in therapeutic yoga, kinesiology, and body psychotherapy. She has a profound gift for helping & empowering others to self–heal and find inner peace, harmony, and health.
